About Me:
Rand Burgess is an aspiring Free Thinker that creates digital art, fiction, poetry, and synthetic music. He enjoys furthering his knowledge through individual studies as well as attendance to college (focus in creative writing). After dabbling in poetry for several years, Rand took kinder to fiction, and is now dedicated to producing quality tales of an unusual and satisfying variety.
Lovecraftian in nature, and a relatively late bloomer literary-wise, he has managed to find some solace in the grotesque, strange, weird, philosophical, A-moral, unorthodox and esoteric themes scattered about classic and modern literature. Using the abnormal as a mere jumping point, he has brought about a plethora of avenues to be explored through the subliminal, allegorical, and philosophical mind set. Rand's dialectic system fuses humanitarian and earthly morals through a lens which allows both enjoyment and deep thought to occur hand-in-hand. Rand currently lives in Oregon, attends university and is always contemplating the strangeness of the world. Several of my fiction and poetry works appear in The Siskiyou as well (Literature & Art section). My Dear Holly work can be found over on Experimementos (issue #2).
